Potential of Artificial Intelligence for Carbon Markets
Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential transform how we work across industries and sectors. But what could it mean for carbon markets?
To explore this question, Gold Standard has partnered with Mantle Labs, a leading remote sensing and AI technology company, to assess different possible applications of AI for supporting sustainable rice projects.
A report of the findings were published in early September, which explores the potential applications of AI in rice carbon projects, highlighting where it could address current challenges by automating complex tasks, ensuring more accurate data collection at lower cost, and providing transparent, and scientifically-robust solutions.
During this webinar, we delved into the findings of report with a panel of experts the 19 September. Playback the video to:
- Learn more about AI for carbon markets
- Understand how it can be used for sustainable rice activities
- See the results of a real-world demonstration
This activity is part of the programme “Scaling carbon markets access for sustainable rice producers in Vietnam”, implemented in partnership with the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) through the Business Partnerships Platform.
