This document provides guidance for new or existing Gold Standard projects in Indonesia, to comply with national regulation related to carbon markets.

All projects in Indonesia undertaking Gold Standard certification must register with the Ministry of Environment / Environmental Protection Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Sistem Registri Nasional Perubahan Iklim (SRN PPI). In accordance with national regulation, credits issued to projects in Indonesia from 8 May 2025 onwards must be transferred to an account in the SRN PPI. Further guidance on approvals, certification and the management of carbon credits is outlined in the guidance document.
