In August 2024, Gold Standard released our Activity Requirements for Blue Carbon and Freshwater Wetlands, complimented by the release the Sustainable Management of Mangroves Methodology, along with a new Nature Activities Hub, to support the development and expansion of nature activities for climate mitigation and adaptation.
During this webinar, we will host a panel discussion on the impact and importance of blue carbon and freshwater wetland activities in reaching global climate goals, and how best to drive sustainable growth in the sector.
Panellists will include:
- Dean Thompson – Gold Standard Technical Advisory Committee Member & lead author of the Blue Carbon & Freshwater Activity Requirements.
- Andrea Vera – Forliance, a project developer and developer of the Sustainable Management of Mangroves Methodology.
- Lalao Aigrette – Bondy, a project developer working on mangrove projects in Madagascar.
- Natalie Orentlicher – Sequestr, a project developer applying the Sustainable Management of Mangroves Methodology in Nigeria.
We will also cover technical aspects of the activity requirements and methodology, touch on Gold Standard's plans to expand into the activity areas, and answer questions from project developers and other stakeholders.
