Gold Standard is launching a two-year pilot phase to provide a real-world test of the draft NbS
Labelling Requirements. The pilot program can accommodate up to six pilot projects. We will
use the insights gained from the pilot program to refine the NbS Labelling Requirements before
submitting a final version for formal review and approval under Gold Standard for the Global
Goals (GS4GG). The pilot therefore is a key step in ensuring that the NbS Labelling
Requirements are practical and accommodate realities which may not be apparent until they
are applied.
The NbS label certification can be applied to projects that intend to issue GS4GG Products (i.e.
GS-VERs) or Impact Statements. This document (henceforth “ToRs”) provides an overview of
the scope of the piloting phase and its intended outcomes.
